How to use it
- Choose the slide shape based on the complete carousel, including the hardest image to fit.
- Load a slide and adjust its crop or padding.
- Save it, replace the source and repeat with the same preset.
- Arrange the saved files in the correct order and review every slide in Instagram.
Choose a shape before building the sequence
Look at the most difficult slide first: perhaps a wide diagram or a tall portrait. Pick a canvas that preserves its essential information, then apply that shape to the other slides. A consistent rectangle makes it easier to compare layouts and position titles. It also reduces unexpected crop changes when you assemble the sequence in your publishing tool.
Prepare one slide at a time
Load the first image, choose the preset and save its export. Replace the source with the next image and keep using the same canvas dimensions. Review the composition again after each replacement: a centered crop that works for a portrait may cut off a chart legend. This page does not automatically import or export an entire multi-image carousel.
Keep the first slide understandable
The opening slide should tell readers what they will get by swiping. Use a clear subject or a short headline in your original artwork. Keep essential information inside the frame instead of placing it along a thin outside margin. A title that only makes sense after the third slide can make the series harder to follow when the first slide is encountered alone.
Use padding for mixed source shapes
A collection may combine screenshots, photographs and diagrams. Fit with a solid background lets those sources share a canvas without losing their edges. Fill is more suitable when a photo can be cropped freely. Use the same background color across a sequence when consistency matters, and check that any text remains large enough after a wide source is fitted into a portrait slide.
Keep the reading order in the files
Name downloaded files in a way that preserves the sequence, such as adding a slide number after saving. Upload them in that order and swipe through the complete draft before publishing. Pay attention to references like “next” or “previous,” especially if you remove a slide. File dimensions cannot catch a missing step in the story or a caption that refers to an older order.
Check the publishing interface
Use the slide count and crop options shown by your current Instagram app or scheduler. Different publishing paths can expose different capabilities, and a prepared file does not force the composer to accept a particular shape. If a preview crops a slide unexpectedly, return to a supported preset and export the affected artwork again, keeping the other slides consistent with that choice.
