How to use it

Why Instagram deletes your spacing
Instagram keeps a line break but trims what it considers empty: the blank line between two paragraphs, spaces at the start of a line and spaces at the end. That is why a caption you spaced out carefully can post as one block of text.
How the fix works
Each empty line gets one Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800), a character that draws as nothing but counts as content, so Instagram keeps the line. Turn on “Keep indentation” and the spaces at the start of a line are replaced the same way.
Empty lines at the very start and end are dropped instead of filled — Instagram would trim them anyway, and they would only use up characters.
Cleaner than dots and dashes
The old workaround was a period or a dash on every empty line. It works, but the dots stay visible, and a caption ends up looking like a column of full stops. The blank Braille character does the same job and cannot be seen.
Line breaks on iPhone and Android
Both keyboards add a line break with the return or Enter key, and Instagram keeps those breaks. It is the empty lines between paragraphs and the spaces at the start of lines that disappear. Write your text with the spacing you want, convert it here and paste the result — there is nothing to fix inside the app.
Lists and indents
Start lines with • or → for a list that stays aligned. To indent a line, add spaces at its start and turn on “Keep indentation”: each space becomes a blank character Instagram keeps. The same trick pushes a line towards the middle, though it only looks centered on screens of a similar width.
Mind the limits
A bio holds 150 characters and a caption 2,200. Every filler counts towards them, and the counter above counts them for you.
