Does this publish from my account?

No. Making or copying the link does not contact your X account. A person who opens the link reviews the draft in X and chooses whether to post it. They may need to sign in first.

Can the visitor change the suggested text?

Yes. Treat the generated post as a suggestion. The visitor can change its wording, add their own comment, remove a hashtag or decide not to share. Do not rely on the default text being published verbatim.

Where should I put an @mention?

Put a mention in the text when it belongs in the sentence. Use Via when you want attribution appended to the draft. Check the username itself because this generator validates its shape without checking that the account exists.

Can I attach a photo through this link?

The form builds a text-and-link sharing intent and does not upload an image. Share a destination with an appropriate page preview, or let the person add media in X after opening their draft.

How to use it

Write the post in the voice of the person sharing it. A quote should stand on its own; a launch announcement should explain what the linked page gives the reader.
Put the article or product address in the URL field. Avoid including the same destination again in the post text, since both fields are added to the composer.
Add a few relevant hashtags, separated by spaces or commas. Use the Via field if the post should credit an X account; a username, @username or profile link is accepted.
Read the combined preview and check its length estimate. It includes the text, destination, hashtags and attribution rather than measuring the text field alone.
Copy the generated link into your share button and open it to test. Inspect the final draft in X, then close it if you are only testing the button.

Write something a reader would share

A click-to-tweet link is useful when it removes the work of assembling a post. Pull out one clear idea from an article, or summarize the practical value of a resource in a sentence. A message that says “I just launched my product” may be wrong when a customer shares it. Write the default wording so that it remains true for the visitor, then leave them free to adapt it.

Give the proposed post enough context to survive outside your website. The title of a section might make sense beside a long article but mean little in a social feed. Identify the subject and include the page where someone can learn more. If you use a quotation, check it against the original and name its author in the text when that attribution matters.

Keep the combined draft manageable

The preview combines the text with the separate URL, hashtag and Via fields. That helps catch accidental repetition before you place the link in a public page. The counter is an estimate for a standard post, including X’s weighted character rules. Styled characters and emoji can have different weights from ordinary Latin letters, so the number may differ from a simple count of visible symbols.

Use the final composer as the last check. If the draft is too long, remove a secondary point or an extra hashtag instead of leaving the visitor to repair a message that was meant to save time. A short, readable share message can still send people to a much fuller explanation. Longer-post features and account capabilities do not make a long default suitable for every person using your button.

Publish the button and test its destination

The plain result is a web address that opens X’s composer. It can be attached to a text link, a button or an image on a website. The optional HTML output includes a label and opens the destination in another tab. This tool does not add X’s embedded widget script to your page. Use the plain URL when your publishing system already provides its own button controls.

Try the published page after saving it, including its mobile layout. Click the actual share control and compare the resulting text, URL and attribution with the preview. If your article URL contains query parameters, let the generator encode them instead of manually pasting them into the composer link. When the underlying article changes title or address, update the proposed post and retest the button as part of that edit.
